Erin Austen Abbott

Erin Austen Abbott is a freelance writer and photographer, that has worked with such publications and brands as, Esquire, Bon Appétit, Visit Baton Rouge, Invitation Magazine, Country Roads, Liquor {dot} com, Abrams Books, Southern Living, Garden & Gun, Bitter Southerner, Teen Vogue, Alternative Press, LA Times, Uppercase, West Elm, Aigle, Lo & Sons, Article, Topps, Community Coffee, Benjamin Moore, Whole Foods, School House Electric, Graduate Hotels, State Bags, and Southern Spaces. She is a writer for the blog Design* Sponge. 

She has her BS in Early Childhood Education and her Masters of Photography from the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle, WA. Erin taught Montessori school for several years before working as a travel nanny, which took her all around the world. She published her first book,  How To Make It, on Chronicle Books, in the spring of 2017 and her second book is coming out in April of 2020, called Family Field Trip. Erin lives in Water Valley, Mississippi with her husband and son.
